Roberts Wesleyan University invites candidates to apply for a one-year (9-month), visiting faculty position in New Testament for the 2026-27 academic year. The position includes teaching at the associate and baccalaureate levels, including teaching the Bible as part of the general education curriculum.
The School of Theology & Northeastern Seminary is housed in Roberts Hall on our park-like campus in Rochester, New York, providing our programs with the advantages of a suburban setting within a vibrant metropolitan area.

Qualifications:
- A PhD or comparable degree in New Testament is expected, though outstanding late-stage ABD applications will be considered.
Demonstrated competence or promise in both classroom and online instruction.
Ability to relate well to the undergraduate population.
Commitment to a vocation of teaching and scholarship on behalf of the church.
Candidates must also demonstrate a strong commitment to the integration of Christian faith and professional practice and a willingness to support the University’s Christian mission and identity. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate multicultural competence and show commitment to the principles of diversity & equity.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of all faculty at Roberts Wesleyan University is teaching. Additional responsibilities include administrative responsibilities related to the growth of the school, student advising, and occasional work on faculty committees.
The approved salary range for this position is $50,000 - $58,000. Salary and rank are commensurate with education and experience.
