Library Operations Manager
Position Description/Responsibilities: The Director of the Golisano Library seeks candidates for a full-time Library Operations Manager to provide administrative and technical support to the Director and other library faculty. This support includes scheduling events and meetings, monitoring library budgets, report writing, editing documents, recording minutes, and making travel arrangements. The Operations Manager oversees the operation of the building, including scheduling use of the facility by many campus constituents and serving as liaison to campus services. This role promotes library services through campus communication venues. This person is responsible for hiring and processing payroll for all student employees.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have excellent skills in MS Office and Google Office applications and the ability to readily learn new software; attention to detail, creativity, flexibility, and strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Experience in personnel supervision desired. Experience serving among ethnically diverse customers preferred. A bachelor’s degree and at least two years of comparable administrative experience, preferably in an academic environment, is required.
