Position Description/Responsibilities: The Facilities Department is accepting applications for a full-time Mechanic to assist in caring for the physical needs and goals of the campus as it relates to building and equipment use and up-keep, particularly in the area of HVAC and plumbing equipment. Primary responsibilities include performing minor HVAC, plumbing and electrical maintenance repairs; inspecting machinery in operation to assure proper functioning, including checking pressures and temperatures; recording accurate data of HVAC and plumbing preventive maintenance; and responding to calls 24 hours a day when on call. Additional duties include assisting with moves, deliveries, set-ups, snow removal and other general maintenance functions.
Qualifications: High school diploma and ten years of experience as a mechanic, including knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning machinery and components. Skills required to trouble shoot in each area. Good customer service skills, ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 75 lbs. also required. Valid motor vehicle operator's license in good standing.
