Facilities Maintenance Mechanic
Position Description/Responsibilities: The Facilities Department is accepting applications for a full-time Building Maintenance Mechanic to assist in caring for the physical needs and goals of the campus as it relates to building and equipment use and up-keep. Primary responsibilities include event set up, office moves, and signage, supervising summer student work crew; making repairs to campus furniture as needed, as well as, ceiling tiles and ceiling systems; and ability to understand and repair minor electrical issues, especially lighting. Additional duties include organizing and maintaining the college warehouses and major storage areas; assisting with snow removal and other general maintenance functions. Qualifications: High school diploma and ten years of experience as a mechanic, including knowledge of routine building maintenance and building systems. Skills required to trouble shoot in each area. Good customer service skills, ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 75 lbs also required.Valid motor vehicle operator's license in good standing.
