Administrative Assistant Office of Academic Affairs

Position Description/Responsibilities: The Office of Academic Affairs seeks a 3/4-time Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Operations Manager, Academic Events Coordinator, Chief Academic Officer, and Director of Institutional Research. The person in this position is the main point of contact for the Office, and will field calls, answer questions, and monitor, write and respond to correspondence from on- and off-campus sources.  In addition, this role is responsible to support academic events including new faculty orientation, faculty retreats, Convocation, administrative meetings, Commencement, and other events as scheduled. This position will provide administrative support to the Cultural Enrichment Committee, will take and distribute minutes for staff and committee meetings, and will handle various accounting tasks for the Office.

Qualifications:  An Associate’s degree or higher in a related field (for example:  Business Administration, Office Technology, Education) is strongly preferred. At least three years’ related experience is required; higher education experience is preferred.  Candidate should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set and meet project deadlines, and possess excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will also be proficient with a range of software applications including the MS Office Suite and Google Suite.  Good attention to detail and accuracy are required. Must be able to work independently, proactively and be self-motivated and be a strong team player.
