Bachelor of Social Work Program
Roberts Wesleyan University invites candidates to apply for an adjunct faculty position in the online-asynchronous Bachelor of Social Work Program. We seek energetic and engaged adjunct instructors for generalist social work courses in a growing BSW Program. This Roberts degree-completion program provides a flexible format conducive to working adults. Courses are offered in an online-asynchronous format. Courses are eight weeks in duration.
The BSW programs in the Department of Social Work are housed in the School of Education and Social Work on our park-like campus in Rochester, New York, providing the program with the advantages of a suburban setting within a vibrant metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:
- Teach a generalist social work course
- Participate in the assessment of student competencies
- Prepare course syllabi in collaboration with the lead professor
- Upload course materials in Moodle in collaboration with the lead professor
- Hold weekly office hours
- Provide timely responses to students’ email communication
- Provide timely feedback on student assignments
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program
- At least two years of post-master's practice experience
- Knowledge of and commitment to diversity
- Commitment to the NASW Code of Ethics
- Ability to effectively use Moodle and teach online courses
- Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Roberts Wesleyan University
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a social work instructor in a higher education environment
Candidates must also demonstrate a strong commitment to the integration of Christian faith and professional practice and a willingness to support the University’s Christian mission and identity. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate multicultural competence and show commitment to the principles of diversity & equity.
Salary Range: $746/credit hour
