Roberts Hosts Discussion on Community Threat Assessment Efforts

Roberts Wesleyan College hosted a discussion on threat assessment efforts in our community on Jan. 7. Local behavioral intervention teams including law enforcement and school districts participated including Canandaigua, Fairport Greece, and Spencerport. Roberts Wesleyan College students also attended to learn first-hand about current strategies to prevent acts of targeted violence in our communities. The discussion focused on key topics including risk factors for threats and concerning behaviors, site assessments to prepare for possible events, and sharing the best practices from each behavioral intervention team. The discussions were led by Mark Concordia, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Homeland Security & Applied Intelligence.
