"Emotional Resilience: Facing Life's Challenges" 

Speaker: Associate Professor of Nursing at Roberts Wesleyan College

Join the Mental Health Advocate Team (MHAT) in this Mental Health Awareness event. This presentation will cover what we know about this leading cause of death, the most up-to-date research on prevention, and what we can do to fight suicide. Participants will learn the common risk factors for suicide, how to spot the warning signs in others, and how to keep ourselves, our loved ones, and those in our community safe.

The Enactus team is looking for creative, passionate world-changers. Join this network of students from all majors who perform service projects that improve the livelihoods of individuals and entire communities.

Prism concerts are a unique experience of uninterrupted music flowing from the beginning to the end of a program. Diverse chamber ensembles are dispersed throughout the auditorium, creating a dynamic and engaging presentation.

Spanning the standard jazz repertoire from the American Songbook to works of contemporary jazz arrangers, the RWC Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Mike Van Allen, performs both composed and improvised music derived from the American big band tradition, African-American composers and improvisers, contemporary classical music, and the Latino and Brazilian traditions.

The Rochester Oratorio Society collaborates with special guests, The Roberts Chorale from Roberts Wesleyan College, the Genesee Valley Children’s Choir, and the RITA collective, to present an iconic work for a new age: Karl Jenkins’s THE PEACEMAKERS, a 73-minute, multimedia, world-music masterpiece, featuring texts by the Dalai Lama, Ghandi, Terry Waits, Rumi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Jr., and many others.
