Schoenhal's Symposium Presents Tracy Dahl, Renowned Operatic Soprano.

Join us in Shewan Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. for a recital featuring Tracy Dahl, Renowned Operatic Soprano.

This event is free and open to the public.

From her roots in musical theatre and concert halls, Canada’s premiere coloratura soprano Tracy Dahl has been lauded for her silvery tone, her vocal agility and her acting prowess in both comedy and tragedy. Ms. Dahl has performed lead roles in Lucia di Lammermoor, Candide, Die Fledermaus, Don Pasquale and Nixon in China in many of the world’s great opera houses including Teatro all Scala (Milan), the Théâtre du Châtelet (Paris), and the Metropolitan Opera (NYC). Concert performances include Orff’s Carmina Burana, Brahms’ Requiem, Mozart’s Exultate jubilate, and an American program of Gershwin, Bernstein, and Gilbert and Sullivan. She has recorded on the Naxos and CBC labels. In 2017, Ms. Dahl was awarded the Order of Canada for her performing career and her work mentoring and teaching the next generation of singers.

Four of our Senior Honors students from the Academic Research & Leadership Honors Program will present their findings from their two-year research project.  The students' Honors Thesis and Presentation is the culmination of this program and is their opportunity to demonstrate their new leadership skills and research capabilities.

The Senior Honors Project provides an opportunity for students to engage in research or other scholarly activity at the highest level of undergraduate study.  The Project serves as a valuable foundation for both graduate study and post-baccalaureate professional life.
