When They See Us Part I
Time: 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM | Location: Lake Auditorium, Smith Hall

In recognition of Black History Month, the Office of Diversity & Equity will be screening two of the four episodes of the Netflix Original docuseries, "When They See Us". This is an educational and challenging documentary about the Central Park 5 case. Through this historical case, tensions and perspectives on race and the criminal justice system in America were highlighted.

- Part I of the docuseries will be shown on Tuesday, February 4th at 3:30pm in Lake Auditorium and on Wednesday, February 5th at 8:30 pm in Ellen Stowe.

- Parts II & III are available on Netflix—You are encouraged to watch them on your own.

- Part IV of the docuseries will be shown on Wednesday, February 12th at 6:30 pm in Lake Auditorium. This showing will include a discussion following the screening.

No tickets are required. Please note that the series is rated TV-Mature for strong language and intense dramatic scenes. Feel free to contact Herb Alexander, Director of Diversity & Equity, for more information.
