Roberts Wesleyan's Justice and Security Institute and the Association of Threat Assessment Professional's (ATAP) Northeast Chapter are proud to announce a joint training day focusing on behavioral threat assessment and threat management.  Presentations will focus on relevant content informing policy and practice of behavioral threat assessment and threat management in schools, businesses, houses of worship, and governmental agencies. 

Topics include:

  • Legal considerations in threat assessment: summary of NYS Red Flag law
  • School climate and how it relates to school safety   
  • Malignant Narcissism: maintaining vigilance when undertaking threat assessment work
  • Threat assessment and threat management in a major national corporation
  • Protecting houses of worship in an increasing threat environment
  • Community-based responses to high-risk cases involving threats of targeted violence and concerning behavior
  • The evolution of threat assessment and ATAP's role in shaping its future
