Roberts Wesleyan University & RBTL Announce First Ever Music Education Partnership
A new partnership to foster the importance of music by supporting musicians and performers, and giving them a chance at a full-tuition scholarship
On October 26, 2026, Roberts Wesleyan University joined the Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) to announce an exciting new partnership supporting and shaping future high school and college musicians and performers. University leadership gathered with RBTL CEO and Board Chair, Arnie Rothschild, to celebrate Roberts Wesleyan becoming RBTL’s Official Music Education Partner and the resulting expanded opportunities.
What does this mean? Through this partnership, Roberts Wesleyan will nurture emerging talent and encourage aspiring musicians of the Rochester area. A key part of this collaboration will focus on working directly with students participating in RBTL’s Stars of Tomorrow program.
Roberts Wesleyan’s President, Nicholas J. Willis, emphasized the importance and power of music and its ability to transform communities and build relationships. Roberts is committed to helping make music education accessible by awarding a full-tuition scholarship annually to one student in RBTL’s Stars of Tomorrow program.
Arnie Rothschild highlighted the importance of the right partners in fostering and supporting the Rochester arts community. Roberts Wesleyan and RBTL are doing this as they come together to inspire future generations of the arts community and help them flourish.
Megan Resig, Chair of the Music Department at Roberts Wesleyan, looks forward to seeing the opportunities unfold through this partnership and to how her students can invest in future generations of musicians by helping them decide “what’s next” for their future.
At Roberts Wesleyan University, through music and performing arts, we learn to live dynamically.
