On Sunday, April 26, the Roberts Wesleyan University community gathered to celebrate two outstanding alumni student-athletes whose impact continues to shape the legacy of Roberts Athletics. During the 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, alumni, family members, coaches, teammates, and friends came together to honor Isabella “Bella” Hohler (Mitrevski) ’16 and Marissa Kerwin (Sell) ’16 as the newest inductees into the Roberts Athletic Hall of Fame.
Established in 1977, the Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes former student-athletes who demonstrated exceptional athletic achievement during their time at Roberts while also embodying the University’s values through leadership, service, character, and continued connection to the Roberts community. This year’s ceremony celebrated not only remarkable athletic accomplishments but also the enduring influence both honorees continue to have in their professions, communities, and alma mater.

Isabella "Bella" Hohler, '16
A History major and standout member of the Women’s Soccer program, Bella Hohler built one of the most decorated careers in Roberts Women’s Soccer history. Serving as team captain from 2013–2016, she consistently distinguished herself through elite performance, academic excellence, and leadership on and off the field.
During her collegiate career, Hohler earned numerous honors, including NCCAA Co-Player of the Year, ECC Offensive Player of the Year, multiple All-American recognitions, and NCAA All-Region distinctions. She was also named a CoSIDA Academic All-American and NCAA Scholar-Athlete, reflecting her commitment to excellence both academically and athletically.
Beyond the accolades, Hohler fondly remembers the relationships and experiences that shaped her time at Roberts, from team bonding events and pasta dinners to NCAA tournament appearances, international travel opportunities, and countless moments shared with teammates. Today, she continues to carry forward that same spirit of dedication and leadership as an attorney with Duke Law Firm, P.C.

Few student-athletes embody versatility and competitive excellence quite like Marissa Kerwin. A Physical Education major and three-sport athlete, Kerwin competed in women’s basketball, soccer, and lacrosse during her time at Roberts, leaving a lasting impact across all three programs.
Her athletic accomplishments are extraordinary. Kerwin earned multiple All-American and All-Region honors, was twice named NCCAA Region Player of the Year, and received awards recognizing both athletic excellence and character. On the basketball court alone, she recorded more than 1,200 career points and over 1,000 rebounds, while setting program records and ranking among Roberts’ all-time leaders in multiple categories. She also contributed significantly to the women’s soccer program and added valuable leadership and athleticism on the lacrosse field.
Kerwin remembers her years at Roberts through the lens of community and shared experiences: championship runs, road trips, and the unique opportunity to compete alongside her sister in both soccer and lacrosse. Today, she continues investing in the next generation as a physical education teacher and coach in the Churchville-Chili Central Schools.
A Celebration of Legacy and Community
The induction ceremony, co-hosted by the Alumni Office and the Athletics Department, featured remarks from Director of Athletics Bob Segave, who formally inducted each honoree and shared highlights from their remarkable careers. Hohler and Kerwin each addressed the audience, reflecting on their experiences at Roberts and expressing gratitude to the coaches, teammates, mentors, and family members who supported them throughout their journeys.
The evening concluded with additional recognition during The Reggies, Roberts Athletics’ annual student-athlete awards celebration, where the Hall of Fame inductees were honored once again in front of the broader Roberts Athletics community.
As Roberts continues a nearly 50-year tradition of recognizing athletic excellence through the Hall of Fame, the stories of Isabella Hohler and Marissa Kerwin stand as powerful reminders of what it means to compete with excellence, lead with integrity, and remain connected to the Roberts community long after graduation.
