From national recognition and leadership appointments to meaningful first roles and continued academic pursuit, each story reflects a shared commitment to making a difference wherever God leads.

Kellie Barbato ‘22 (Transformational Leadership)

Kellie Barbato ‘22 (Transformational Leadership) achieved tenure as the Head of Research & Instruction Services in the Drake Memorial Library at SUNY Brockport, where she’s served for two years at full librarian rank. Her tenure will be effective January 2027.

Eric Elias ‘87 (Social Work), MS Ed ABSNP

Eric Elias ‘87 (Social Work), MS Ed ABSNP, was awarded the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)’s 2026 School Psychologist of the Year award. The School Psychologist of the Year award honors excellence in the direct provision of school psychological services in a manner that reflects NASP’s mission to promote effective, equitable, and culturally responsive practices that help all students learn and succeed.

Eric Elias currently serves as the School Psychologist for Meriden Public Schools in Meridan, CT.

Sheri Faggiano ‘94, ‘11 (Nursing, Nursing Administration)

Sheri Faggiano ‘94, ‘11 (Nursing, Nursing Administration) was recently appointed Vice President of RRH Extended Care Services.

Olivia Lakra ‘25 (Music Therapy)

Olivia Lakra ‘25 (Music Therapy) was selected to share a presentation at Nazareth University's recent music therapy conference. After transitioning from music therapy to education, she shared her perspective on how the two fields overlap, inform, and can support each other.

Jack Saia ‘23, ‘25 (Psychology, Music Education)

Jack Saia ‘23, ‘25 (Psychology, Music Education) started a new role as a long-term substitute teacher, instructing 8th-grade band for the Brighton Central School District.

Saani Sanford ‘19 (Criminal Justice)

Saani Sanford ‘19 (Criminal Justice) was awarded the Exceptional Performance Award for her contributions to a long-term DEA investigation, which she supported in her former role as a NY/NJ HIDTA analyst. Saani currently works as a Non-Fatal Shooting Analyst for the Rochester Police Department.

Kaycee Viator ‘22 (History/Pre-Law)

Kaycee Viator ‘22 (History/Pre-Law) started a new position as the Residential Life Area Coordinator for First-Year Hill in the Office of Residential Life & Housing Services at the University of Rochester. She is also currently completing her Doctor of Education (EdD) at the University of Rochester.
