Adolescence Education Physics

The Adolescence Education Physics program prepares students to apply for New York State teaching certification in Physics for grades 7-12 (with an extension in Physics for grades 5-6). Students in this program also have the option of completing requirements for dual certification in Adolescence Education Physics 7-12 and Students with Disabilities 7-12 Generalists.

This program prepares students to pursue graduate studies in education, Physics, or other related disciplines. All Adolescence Education Physics students are assigned an advisor in the Department of Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics as well as an advocate in the Teacher Education Department.

Consultation with both advisor and advocate is essential to ensure program requirements and application deadlines are met for both departments.
