Roberts to Host Jenn Suhr Gold Medal Tour Stop
Alumna Jenn Suhr Will Participate in Homecoming Festivities and Pole Vault Competition
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Roberts Wesleyan alumna and Olympic champion Jenn Suhr will bring her Gold Medal Tour to the college’s homecoming festivities at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28. Suhr will participate in an outdoor pole vaulting competition in the stadium on campus. A fireworks display celebrating Suhr’s achievements, homecoming weekend and the entire Roberts community will follow at 9:45 p.m.
“Roberts Wesleyan is a place where I learned to achieve new heights, physically and metaphorically,” Suhr said. “The support of this community was invaluable as I pursued my goals. I look forward to sharing this victory with all of Rochester right here on campus.”
This event is free, but tickets are required. Stadium seats are limited, so it is recommended that families bring lawn chairs and blankets for additional seating. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Tickets are available at all Rochester area Wegmans locations while supplies last.
“We are so proud that Jenn has chosen to have her official ‘homecoming’ at her alma mater,” said John A. Martin, president of Roberts Wesleyan College. “Her presence is a wonderful addition to a momentous and exciting homecoming weekend. This event promises to be a fun-filled, special experience for all who attend. “
