Checklist - Things To Do Before Commencement Weekend

The following required documents must be submitted in order for you to participate in the Commencement ceremony and to graduate:

Cap and Gown Order Form
Application for a Degree
Application to Major (Traditional Undergraduate students only)

If you have not turned in one or more of the above, please contact the Registration Office immediately at 585.594.6220.

Student graduates may purchase Commencement announcements online through  Sample displays will be located outside the Office of Student Life in Rinker C.S.C., and in Garlock Dining Commons.

Request a Sign Language interpreter for yourself and/or a guest(s), if needed. Please call Michelle Cronk, Office of Advancement at 585.594.6837.

      By Tuesday, April 21

Order up to FIVE (5) Commencement Ceremony GUEST SEATING TICKETS and may order DVD through  Online Order Form. The online order form is accessible only to the student graduate. 

Starting March 16, the student graduate may request one additional ceremony ticket by sending an email to:, with the subject line "Extra Commencement Ticket"  This will be a first-come, first-served ticket distribution.  You will be notified via reply email within two weeks of your request, whether an additional ticket is available.

After ordering, pick up guest tickets in Office of Student Life, Rinker C.S.C., M-F, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

You may request special accomodations if your GUEST(S) will be using a wheelchair, walker, or crutches, or requires an extra sturdy chair (275+ lbs.). Please call Michelle Cronk, Office of Advancement at 585.594.6837.

     By Friday, May 1

Request special STUDENT GRADUATE seating accommodations for yourself if you will be using a wheelchair, walker or crutches.  Please call the Office of Registration at 585.594.6596.

     By Friday, May 1

Pick up keepsake  Cap & Gown and all previously ordered tickets in Rinker Community Service Center, lower level, Room 150. Caps and gowns will not be available before these dates.  You may pick up guest tickets anytime after March 23.

When picking up your items, please take a moment to sign the Graduate Scroll, an archival document containing signatures of graduates throughout the years, and complete a Graduate Career Survey and Alumni Form.
