In addition to traditional undergraduate programs, the Department of Business offers a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership and a Master of Science in Strategic Marketing for both experienced professionals and recent graduates.

Accreditation

Roberts Wesleyan College has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), located in Olathe, Kansas. The business programs in the following degrees are accredited by the IACBE:

  • Master of Science degree in Strategic Leadership
  • Master of Science degree in Strategic Marketing
  • Bachelor of Science degrees
    • Accounting and Information Management
    • Business Administration
    • International Business
    • Management and Social Entrepreneurship
    • Marketing

The School of Business has Advanced Standing options for going from Bachelor of Science in Health Administration (BHA) to Master of Science in Health Administration (MHA) or Healthcare Informatics Administration (MHI).

BHA graduates can apply for Advanced Standing in MHA or MHI via 2 separate options:

1)      Students who graduated from BHA within the last 3 years may apply for Advanced Standing in the MHA or MHI program and enter the MHA or MHI cohort in Module 4 if they meet the current admission criteria for the MHA or MHI program.

2)      Students who will graduate from BHA may apply for Advanced Standing in the MHA or MHI program and enter the MHA or MHI cohort in Module 4 if they meet the current admission criteria for the MHA or MHI program.

Potential students can apply for acceptance in an advanced standing program of both BHA and MHA or MHI degrees:

Potential students seeking acceptance into an advanced standing program of  both  BHA and  MHA or MHI degrees will apply and meet the following criteria for acceptance into the programs (a, b and c are current BHA admission requirements, d provides that all Bachelor’s degree requirements will be met by the end of the BHA program prior to starting the MHA or MHI program):

a. A minimum of 60 transferable credits from a regionally accredited institution. Please note:

    • Coursework must be a grade of C– or above to transfer
    • Credit may be awarded for Prior Learning Assessment (life and professional experiences) using: DSST or CLEP exams, documented life experiences (including military and police academy training), and life learning papers
    • A maximum of 87 credits may be transferred from regionally accredited four-year institutions
    • A maximum of 72 credits may be transferred from regionally accredited two-year institutions
    • Coursework from institutions that are not regionally accredited and credit for life experience that is not ACE approved may not transfer

b. Successful completion of Freshman Composition (ENG 101 or equivalent) with a grade of C or better.

c. A minimum of two years of meaningful and relevant professional work experience

d. In addition to admission criteria, the BHA student will be on track to complete the 37 credits of required coursework with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 point scale by Module 11.   Any additional credits needed outside of the BHA coursework will be completed prior to starting Module 11.  Student will begin MHA or MHI coursework only after completion of the 37 credits for BHA and all degree related credits.

e. The essay and reference requirements for admission to MHA and MHI may not be required if the above criteria are met.
