Katie is a pure athlete. She is quick along the net, and attacks very high. Her impact will be felt immediately on the court.” Katie, a 5’11” middle blocker, has earned numerous honors on the court during her high school career. Over the past four years, her Eden team has been one of the most successful teams in New York. She has been a part of three state championship teams in 2006, 2007, and 2009. Eden finished the 2009 season ranked 64th by PrepVolleyball.com, the only team in New York to achieve a top 100 ranking. Katie earned many personal accolades, including first team all state (2009), and a place on the exclusive All Western New York Volleyball Team (2009). Katie also led her team in blocks and aces this past season. Off the court, Katie is a member of the National Honor Society and has earned Scholar Athlete status all four years of high school. Katie also assists at The Wesleyan Church of Hamburg in the pre-school classroom. Katie plans on majoring in business with a focus on international business. “Katie’s personality and team spirit will be an even greater addition to our team,” said Coach Meyers. “We have enjoyed getting to know her and the entire Eschner family. Katie will fit right in as a part of the RWC community. We are thrilled to have her join us.”
