Medeiros NCCAA National Champion in 55m Hurdles
The RWC women’s Track team had a very successful day at the 12th Annual NCCAA National Indoor Track Championships at Cedarville University.  The team set three school records and ten of the eleven members had season best times.  Sophomore, Kelsey Medeiros (New Bedford, MA) scored 21.25 points to help lead the team to a very respectful 6th place finish.

Medeiros Named RACA Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Kelsey Medeiros has been named the RACA athlete of the week after winning the 55 meter hurdles at the NCCAA National Championship.

Track Team Breaks 3 Records at the Kane Invitational
The track team went to the historic Barton Hall Field House (built in 1914 it was the largest unpillared building in existence covering almost 2 acres) at Cornell University to compete in the Kane Invitational on February 13.  RWC went up against NCAA Division I Cornell, two top Canadian teams (Univ. of Toronto and Queen’s University) along with 19 other teams.  Competing against top competition the men’s and women’s teams put together some great performances.

Women’s 4x200 Relay Smashes Record at Jim Wuske Invitational
The track team braved the snow storm in Ohio and came away with one school record and nearly broke three others.  It was the first track meet at the newly renovated Peterson Fieldhouse at Mount Union College in Alliance, OH.  The team took advantage of the new fast 200m Mondo track.

Ingraham Breaks Record at Class of ’32 Invitational
On Saturday, January 30, the track team traveled to Colgate University to compete in the Class of ’32 Invitational.  This is the only scored meet the Raiders have this season and the women came up with great performances.
