The Printmaking Show - Pressed for Time

Curated by gallery director, Kathrine Page, Pressed for Time: Contemporary Printmakers features new work by five local, regional, and national master printmakers, John Bergmeier, Susan Fecho, JillianSokso, Shelley Thorstensen, and Phillia Yi. These five diverse printmaking luminaries were selected for their influences in contemporary printmaking. All have earned national recognition for their dedication to their art- making processes in the print medium, including woodcut, linocut, intaglio, lithography, collagraph, silk-screen and monotype. This exhibition explores common threads such as linear elements, layering of forms and textures, a shared discipline to artistic practice, and comprises a modest convergence of cultures and genders with close to 30 works on paper.

Contemporary Printmakers will be on display from January 11 through February 22, 2010.
