nursing rn to bs

The Modular RN to BS Program is a unique alternative to the traditional method of pursuing a college degree. It is designed specifically for adults who want their college degree while continuing to work.

Students have the opportunity to study with other adults who share similar interests and concerns. Together, they form an academic support group from their own personal and professional backgrounds as they follow an intense program of classes and individual study.

Students who successfully complete the program are granted a Bachelor of Science degree from Roberts Wesleyan College. The Modular RN to BS Program serves the needs of adult learners, helps them assess personal values and increases their effectiveness in their practice settings.

This program is offered in:

          * St. Ann's Community

          * Unity Hospital

Program Structure

Classes are taught in seminar and workshop style with class materials centered on career development, comprehensive assessment, management and supervision, and community-based care. Classroom assignments include outside readings and the writing of papers on selected topics. Students earn a minimum of 32 semester hours in 56 weekly four-hour class sessions (interspersed with an average of 6 weeks of breaks). They design, implement, and/or evaluate a project related to their professional practice. This project will assist in learning how to manage planned changes in an organizational setting.
