The Academic Research & Leadership Honors Program will teach you leadership and research skills through specialized courses, a research project, and community and faculty mentors. You will take the following courses in your junior and senior years.

Honors Leadership & Academic Research Seminar
This course will introduce students to best practices in leadership and allow students to explore research topics for their senior honors projects. Specifically, this course will provide students the opportunity to interact with high-level leaders within the greater Rochester area from various fields. Additionally, students will select a topic, faculty mentor, and begin their literature review for their senior honors project.
Honors Mentoring & Academic Research Seminar
This course will allow students to be mentored by an off-campus community member within their disciplines. Additionally, students will complete their literature review for their senior honors project.
Honors Senior Seminar
This course will encourage students to answer the question, “What does it mean to be a leader in the world, in their community, and in their industry?” Led by Prof. Carrie Starr and Dr. Erv Starr, students will put their leadership skills into practice as they mentor a new Roberts’ student.
