Roberts Wesleyan College will celebrate its spring commencement on Saturday, May 11, in the Voller Athletic Center on campus, located at 2301 Westside Drive, Rochester, NY 14624. 418 students receiving undergraduate and graduate degrees — as well as family members, friends, faculty and staff — will be on hand to celebrate.

President of LECESSE Construction Mauricio F. Riveros will deliver the keynote address. He also serves on the board of trustees for Roberts Wesleyan College.

Riveros directs the day-to-day operations of LECESSE, formulates plans and policies to achieve overall corporate objectives, ensures profitable growth and fulfills the company’s commitment to the community. He’s known for raising the bar of operational excellence by streamlining efficiencies, standardizing best practices, and challenging construction and renovation projects to adhere to the highest safety and quality standards.

He holds a master’s degree of economic law from La Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar and a law degree from La Universidad Catolica Boliviana. He serves on the board of directors for several nonprofit organizations, including Upstate Minority Council, Latino Branch of the United Way and Allendale Columbia School. He resides in Victor, NY, with his wife, Bess, and three children, Thomas, Oliver and Wesson.

The master’s degree and adult undergraduate bachelor’s degree ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m., followed by the ceremony for traditional undergraduate bachelor’s degree and BELL graduates at 2:30 p.m. The college’s BELL program — an inclusive postsecondary certificate program for ages 18-26 with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are transitioning to adulthood — will walk in commencement for the fourth year in a row, making this another inclusive ceremony for Rochester. There are six BELL graduates this year.
