Dr. Paul Shewan, Professor of Instrumental Music and Conducting, was recognized by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) on March 21 for his impact on the community through music education. Shewan was nominated directly by the committee as a recognition of his high level of commitment, through music education, to those around him. This award, from the RPO, recognizes an outstanding contribution to the Rochester music community.
Dr. Shewan is a member of the RPO trumpet section and has been a guest conductor.
