Redhawks Who Soar - February 2019

Roberts Wesleyan College is proud of its 18,000+ living alumni. Roberts alumni are working in the fields of healthcare, social work, business, education, non-profits and entrepreneurship – to name a few! After graduation, the soul of Roberts stays with our alumni -- read these short updates to learn more about their lives after college.

Here are this month’s Redhawks Who Soar:

Marjorie A. Smith ’01 (Organizational Management), ‘04 (Masters of Social Work) is the Executive Director at the Aurora House Comfort Care Home in Spencerport. Read the full story.

Kevin Beckford’03 (Organizational Management) is the Sr. Director of Staff Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the University of Rochester. He is also on the Pittsford Town Board and is the first African-American to serve in its more than 200 year history. In February, Beckford presented a workshop titled “Understanding and Valuing Diversity in the Workplace" for all Roberts and Northeastern staff.

Sara (Berkemeier) Bell’12 (Social Work) is a Legislative Aide at the United States Senate in Washington, DC. Previously, she was a Research Fellow with the Senate Finance Committee. She received her Master’s degree in Public Policy from Helms School of Government at Liberty University.

Liz Widrick’14 (Social Work), ’15 (Masters of Social Work) is a staff therapist at Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County (CAC). Widrick previously worked at Mountain View Prevention Services in Lowville where she served as a youth advocate to middle and high school students in Lewis County. Read the full story.
