January 28, 2019Roberts Students Participate in "King for a Day" Service Projects
Close to 90 Roberts Wesleyan students participated in this year's RochesterCares King for a Day on January 26th. This annual event is part of the nationally recognized MLK Jr. Day of Service, which encourages Americans across the country to engage in volunteer activities in honor of Martin Luther King Jr..
Roberts students served at a number of locations, completing various tasks, such as cleaning, organizing, repairing, etc. Locations included:
- Pirate Toy Fund, 1453 E. Main Street, Rochester 14609

- Father's House Downtown campus, 28 Lawn Street, Rochester 14607
- Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, 614 Clifford Avenue, Rochester 14621
- Seabury Woods, 110 Dalaker Drive, Rochester 14624
- Coldwater Women's Shelter, 250 Coldwater Road, Rochester 14624
- Eagle Star Housing, 277 S. Union Street, Spencerport 14559
- Mary's Place Refugee Outreach, 414 Lexington Avenue, Rochester 14613
