Redhawks Who Soar - September 2018

Roberts Wesleyan College is proud of its 18,000+ living alumni. Roberts alumni are working in the fields of healthcare, social work, business, education, non-profits and entrepreneurship – to name a few! After graduation, the soul of Roberts stays with our alumni -- read these short updates to learn more about their lives after college.

Here are this month’s Redhawks Who Soar:

Stephen Shewan’83 (Music Education) was a winner of the 21st annual VocalEssence Welcome Christmas Carol Contest. Sponsored by the American Composers Forum and VocalEssence the contest was open to composers of all ages.  Shewan won for this new piece titled “The Little Cradle Rocks Tonight.” Read the full story.

Caleb Richter’01 (Biology and Chemistry) is a behavioral health physician’s assistant at Carthage Area Hospital in Carthage, NY.  He also received a MS in Physician Assistant Studies from Daemen College in 2005. He was recently names an employee of the quarter at Carthage Area Hospital.

Jenn Suhr’04 (Psychology) 2012 Olympic champion was featured on the International Association of Athletics Federations series. Read the full story.

Rev. Troy Lynn Carr’06 (Social Work) recently became the pastor of Grace United Methodist Church in Seattle, Washington. Read the full story.

Phil’07 (Accounting and Information Management) and Brette-Ashley (Wilcox) Schmitt’07 (Marketing) are renovating a 1904 building in Bergen to create a photography studio. Read the full story.

Logan Geen’07 (Business) is an attorney in at Bond, Schoeneck & King in its health care practice. Geen has a law degree from SUNY Buffalo Law School and a master of health administration from Cornell University. Read his profile.

Judah Sealy’07 (Music) is a saxophonist/keyboardist. He is a music teacher at Rochester Prep West Elementary and music director at Church of Love Faith Center. Listen to his music.

Amie Hendrix’08 (MSL) was appointed deputy county administrator serving Tompkins County. Read the full story.

Lauren Kolb’10’12 (O.M., MSL) is a senior wealth advisor at Tompkins Financial Advisors.  Read the full story.

Allison Kendall’14 (Mathematics and Physics) is a Deputy Sheriff in Monroe County.

Mackenzie Dude’18 (Childhood and Special Education) will co-lead the varsity boys and girls lacrosse teams at Hilton High School. Dude played lacrosse for all four years and Roberts and was a team captain. Read the full story.

Madison Gosch’18 (Business) is a Management Trainee at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Henrietta, NY. In this role she takes care of customers, connects with the community and lives the values of Enterprise.

Kathryn Hill’18 (Business) is a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Syracuse University.
