Light

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.
Isaiah 9:2 (NIV)

Christmas Tree Lighting 2022

On Monday, November 28, our campus community gathered together with children and family members to officially mark the start of the Christmas season with our annual Tree Lighting event.

This tradition is truly one of the most meaningful and special moments of our year. We joyfully celebrate the lighting of a prominent tree located in the center of campus while holding candles, reading from scripture and singing carols of the season. As a community we annually light this tree as a symbol of our faith and declaration that the light has indeed come!

The lighting of our tree gives us an opportunity to not only usher in the beginning of the Christmas season, but to proclaim again that Jesus is the light of the world and hear that “Great Light” has dawned - light that helps us navigate the darkness and fills our hearts with hope, joy and peace.

As we move through the holidays may the light you see be a symbol of your faith and confidence that the light has come!
