Roberts Wins PRism Award

Rochester’s PRism Awards recognizes complete public relations programs and tactical elements incorporating sound research, planning, execution and evaluation. These awards are given to work representing the highest standards of performance in public relations. An impartial panel of senior-level professionals from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Chapter serves as judges which makes these awards even more valuable.

With agency partner DS+CO, Roberts Wesleyan College was awarded a PRism Award of Excellence at the event held on June 8. Roberts received the Award of Excellence for Press Conferences for Breaking Ground on the Golisano Community Engagement Center.

The event served as the kick-off to the construction phase of the 25,000-square-foot state-of-the-art building which, once complete, will serve as a hub for connection, community interaction and student life resources, as well as a workplace for Roberts’ growing custom training and certificate programs. The college engaged DS+CO to support the media relations strategy, planning and execution for a hybrid press conference to further awareness of the purpose of this new center, including its significance to campus culture and local workforce development.
