Ariana (Duncan) D'Angelo '05 (BS Art Education) was recently presented with WROC News 8's Golden Apple Award. The award recognizes Rochester-area teachers making a difference in their communities. She is an Art teacher at Chestnut Ridge Elementary School in the Churchville-Chili School District.
Kim Hale, Principal of Chestnut Ridge School, describes Ariana as "so caring and so creative. She just really connects with every kid in this building". She was nominated for this award by first grader, Amber Page. Amber loves Mrs. D'Angelo because "she gives hugs and she teaches me new art things and she throws an art show for all the kids".
