Roberts and Northeastern Appoint Director of Human Resources

Roberts Wesleyan College is pleased to welcome a new colleague to its leadership team. Diane Wiley has been appointed director of human resources for the college and Northeastern Seminary, effective immediately. In her role, Wiley will directly oversee the development of HR policies in compliance with state law and institutional missions, leading the human resources and payroll teams to build strategic partnerships and training programs across academic and administrative departments.

“We are pleased to welcome Diane Wiley to Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary,” said Ruth Logan, vice president for student and organizational development at Roberts Wesleyan College. “Her vast experience in human resources and commitment to our institutional values will help to enhance the lives of our employees and we look forward to her leadership in this critical role.”

Wiley brings more than two decades of industry experience in human resources and talent management to the college. Most recently, she served as vice president of work life at St. John’s Heath Care Corporation in Rochester, New York, overseeing HR for a team of 1,000 employees providing skilled nursing, assisted living, rehabilitation and independent senior housing services to more than 800 residents. As vice president of work life, Wiley was also responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategies and short-term tactics to enhance staffing processes, training and employee engagement, including leading cultural change and team health and wellness initiatives. Through her leadership and management, she achieved annual health insurance cost reductions of 10% for two consecutive years.

Prior to St. John’s Health Care Corporation, Wiley spent six years as director of member and community relations at The Gunlocke Company, where she led the day-to-day management of talent acquisition and development, performance management, employee relations, training and organization-wide employee engagement strategies.

Wiley earned a master’s in business administration from St. John Fisher College and a graduate certificate in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Rochester. She is a certified instructor for Development Dimensions International and holds additional certifications from the American Compensation Association and the Human Resources Certification Institute.
