  • M.S. in Business Administration | Abilene Christian University

Tell me about yourself.

I’m married with four children; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Abilene Christian University. While at the institution, I had privilege of being part of a world class track team.

God brought me to Roberts and I’ve been teaching here over 30 years.

I was interested in human behavior, which evolved into a focus on marketing.

What is an interest you have outside of teaching?

I enjoy reading historical fiction and fishing when I get the chance

What do you like the most about teaching marketing?

One thing I like about teaching marketing is teaching concepts that reach into many parts of people’s lives that help them think about things differently. I also like the interaction with students –particularly when they “get it”.

What is one highlight from your time at Roberts?

Over the years, there have been so many highlights, but I get the most satisfaction from the countless students who wrote or called after graduation to say, “Thank You.”

The students are the centerpiece of the classroom, and that’s my favorite part of being a professor.

Consider graduate school as a way of differentiating and adding value to yourself over other candidates who are applying for the same position.

Do you have any advice for students considering completing a bachelor’s degree in Business?

It is a big demand on your life. However, when you finish you will have obtained more than just a degree – you will be a different person.

What is an interesting fact about you?

You would be surprised to know that I have a 1951 MG convertible – it’s fun and I like to drive it!

What is your favorite quote or verse and why?

Proverbs 3:5- 6, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” It is my favorite because I have seen it carried out in my life over many years.

Student Insight:

Nikki Cammilleri ‘20 (Marketing)

"My first semester of college, I had a class with Professor Todd and I’ve continued to have classes with him every year since then. He saw potential in me and asked me to be a student worker in the Business Department. Through my courses and work experience, I’ve realized that William Todd is a professor who cares deeply about the academic success, spiritual transformation and future career readiness of each of his students."
