Roberts to Host Fall Leadership Breakfast: Innovation & Growth with Matt Hurlbutt

Roberts Wesleyan College will host its annual fall Leadership Breakfast, featuring Matt Hurlbutt, president and CEO of Greater Rochester Enterprise, on “Innovation and Growth.” The event will take place 7:30-9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, in the Howard Stowe Roberts Cultural Life Center on campus.

During his presentation, Hurlbutt will discuss how innovation and leadership produce growth for our region and what makes our region perfect for new companies and will give sought-after business advice on incorporating innovation and getting involved.

He was named CEO of Greater Rochester Enterprise in 2017 and has been with GRE since 2008. He is responsible for attracting new business and jobs to Rochester and works directly with corporations. He works on marketing initiatives and collaborative efforts to support business attraction and expansion throughout the region by working closely with business and community leaders. 

Hurlbutt has a Master’s of Public Administration from The College at Brockport and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from SUNY Geneseo.

The morning’s moderator will be Dr. Joel Hoomans, professor of management and leadership studies and director of Roberts Wesleyan’s Master’s of Science in Strategic Leadership program.
