Redhawks Who Soar - April 2018

Roberts Wesleyan College is proud of its 17,737 living alumni. Roberts alumni are working in the fields of healthcare, social work, business, education, non-profits and entrepreneurship – to name a few! After graduation, the soul of Roberts stays with our alumni -- read these short updates to learn more about their lives after college.

Here are this month’s Redhawks Who Soar:

Rebecca L. Rodriguez,CPA’08 (Accounting and Information Management) is a Tax Manager with Lumsden McCormick, LLP in Buffalo. She is also a co-founder of Free to Fly, a nonprofit organization that helps the poor working-class in Metro Rochester.

Jessica Green’01 (B.S. Elementary Education) donated a kidney to Michael DeMaintenon’01 (Elementary and Music Education) in March. Michael said this of fellow alumni Jessica, “She’s always looking to help people.” Read the full story.

Nick Vernetti’17 (Masters in Strategic Marketing) has been named senior interactive art director at Dixon Schwabl. He is responsible for digital design, execution and art direction.

Bryan’06 (B.A. History) and Kacy’06 (Humanities) Wandel started the Church of the Atonement in Buffalo. Read the full story.

Kathryn Friedman’17 (Masters in School Counseling) has been named the new director of Jewish Student Life at Miami University. Read the full story.

Annmarie Lehner’92 (Organizational Management) will receive the 2018 Leader in Digital Education Award by the School Administrators Association of New York State on May 4.  She is the chief information officer for the Rochester City School District. Read the full story.

Jamie Passinault’99’04 (Elementary Education and Master’s in Special Education) has been named the new girls volleyball coach at Spencerport Central Schools. She is a special education teacher with BOCES 2 in Spencerport. Read the full story.

Angie Perez-Delgado’10 (M.S. Health Administration) was named a D&C Woman to Watch on April 1. She is the Vice President of Administration for the Villa of Hope. Read the full story.
