Share thisAnn Costello, Director of the Golisano Foundation, to Deliver Winter Commencement Address
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Ann Costello, director of the Golisano Foundation, will deliver the keynote address at Roberts Wesleyan College’s winter commencement ceremony. The event is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in the Andrews B. Hale Auditorium, Howard Stowe Roberts Cultural Life Center on campus. More than 200 students receiving undergraduate and graduate degrees — as well as family members, friends and faculty — will be on hand to celebrate commencement and listen to Costello’s presentation.
Costello has more than 30 years of service in the nonprofit sector and has an extensive background in human service administration, strategic planning, fund distribution and organizational policy development. She has been redefining the Golisano Foundation’s role in the disability service area as a proactive partner and catalyst for transformation as director of the foundation. Through her work, she has supported and launched innovative partnerships and programs, including the Institute for Innovative Transition, the first Healthy Athletes regional training program, End the R Word media campaigns and Move to Include.
Costello is dedicated to the foundation and helping individuals with intellectual disabilities. She is a key participant in the advancement of Special Olympics’ global Healthy Communities initiative to expand health-related services to people with intellectual disabilities. She also served as a research fellow at the School of City and Regional Planning.
