The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is an organization that builds value, demand and global understanding for public relations. The PRism Awards are held annually to recognize the outstanding pubic relations work and the industry’s continued growth in Rochester.
President Deana L. Porterfield was recognized as the Executive of the Year at an event on June 14. She is an ambassador for sharing good news and telling authentic stories that bring everyone together --whether communicating with employees, the Greater Rochester Community or our 18,000 alumni of the college and seminary. As a leader, she’s faithful about being transparent, loyal, fair, and a truth teller. She’s an advocate for the voices of students and has mentored more than 200 current and rising female leaders. She is an executive who leaves a lasting impression wherever she goes. Donna McLaren, CMO, (right) accepted the award on behalf of the President.
