Redhawks Who Soar

Roberts Wesleyan College is proud of its over 17,000 alumni. Roberts alumni are working in the fields of healthcare, social work, business, education, non-profits and entrepreneurship – to name a few! After graduation, the soul of Roberts stays with our alumni -- read these short updates to learn more about their lives after college.

Here are this month’s Redhawks Who Soar:

Connor Dixon-Schwabl ‘15 (MSMK) is the Studio Manager and Workplace Wow leader at Dixon Schwabl and owner of Lakeview Valet.  He was a finalist for the Health and Wellness Champion of the Year Award. He initiated and led the company’s fitness challenge with more than 80 team members participating in the six-month effort. Connor volunteers at the Monroe Family YMCA, coaching youth sports and mentoring the children.  He’s also on the board for Hope Hall and is co-President of Ronald McDonald House’s Red Tie Society.

Chantel M. Foster ’00 (Social Work)  is an elder advocate at St. John Meadows and Brickstone by St. John.  Foster focuses on keeping residents living an independent lifestyle in their individual residences, for as long as possible.  She was recently featured in the Democrat & Chronicle’s Woman to Watch feature.

Jacqui (Kemp) Stack ’13 (Marketing) is a Resident Director and Life Coach and Monroe Community College.  Prior to that she worked in Undergraduate Admissions at Roberts Wesleyan College.  She is certified in Life Coaching.

Dr. Ron Montgomery ’90 (Music Education) is the director of bands at Wayland Baptist University. His collegiate teaching experience includes Missouri Valley College, Missouri Southern State University, Xavier University, University of Northwestern and Eastern Nazarene College. Montgomery earned his doctorate at the University of Arizona and a master’s degree from the University of Kansas.   

Pamela Bastek ‘10 (Art Education) is the owner of Prime Dress Designs in Frankford,  New Jersey.  She has a 3,000 square-foot facility that focuses on manufacturing dresses for Irish Step dancing competitions.  While at Roberts she joined Drumcliffe School of Irish Dance, in Rochester, and started team dancing.  Drumcliffe was also her first customer. The cost of one dress runs into the hundreds.

Mark Virkler ’74 (Religion-Philosophy) and his wife Patti’74 (English) have co-authored more than 50 books.  Best sellers include "4 Keys to Hearing God's Voice," and "Prayers That Heal the Heart," and "Christian Dream Interpretation.  He has many YouTube videos on hearing God.  The Virklers live in Buffalo, NY.

Andy Zebulske ’16 (MSMK) recently accepted a job as Global Marketing Database and Automation Manager at Carestream Health in Rochester.  Zebulske shared “I fully believe that without the program at Roberts I wouldn’t have thought about landing a position like this.”
