Valuing Diversity Steps
Creating an engaged campus culture that reflects Imago Dei (the image of God) is a priority for Roberts Wesleyan College. As part of our current Strategic Plan, the College will take steps toward the following priorities:
- A commitment to cultural and ethnic diversity in employee hiring and recruitment.
- Establishing a Student Office for Diversity and Inclusion.
- Diversity and inclusion education for all employees, focusing on embracing diversity and breaking down barriers to inclusion.
- Diversity and inclusion awareness and education in programming.
Additional work is being done in the following areas:
- Reviewing our employee hiring and recruitment practices to more closely reflect the ethnic and racial diversity of our student body.
- Preparing a comprehensive proposal, which includes staffing, programming, training, outreach and space allocation for the College’s diversity initiatives.
- Instituting diversity education for faculty and staff on an annual basis.
- Integrating multiculturalism and globalization into curriculum.
Likewise, Northeastern Seminary’s strategycommits to Embody Diversity in fresh ways through faculty and staff hiring, recruitment initiatives, and curriculum enhancements.
Together, as a community, let’s create a campus culture of Imago Dei.
