Music Teacher Selected as Semifinalist in for 2016 Grammy Music Educator Award
DiAnne (Illsley) Mott '84 was selected as a semifinalist of the 2016 Grammy Music Educator Award. "It is humbling to be honored for doing what I love. Whatever I accomplish is a result of God working through my weaknesses, and a reflection of the great people who surround me. I am truly blessed,"Mott said.
Mott currently teaches High School Instrumental Music at Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Central School District in New York. Over 4,500 educators were nominated for the award, and the list of 25 semifinalists will be narrowed down to ten finalists in December 2015. DiAnne's father, Doug Illsley, served almost 14 years on the Roberts Board of Trustees, and her son, Andy Mott, graduated in 2012.
