Share thisRoberts Students Make a Difference with Project reSTORE
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Students from Roberts Wesleyan College’s Enactus team have collaborated to create Project reSTORE, an intiative that provides local nonprofits with strategic business and marketing counsel. Project reSTORE recently helped Furnished for Life, a nonprofit organization in the City of Rochester that provides furniture and household items to under-resourced families, win $2,400 in grant money from SAM’s Club and Walmart. The funds will be used to start job-skill training, beginning with an upholstery class for Furnished for Life volunteers. The money will also help provide materials to update the FFL warehouse, and better clean and prepare the donated products FFL provides.
Project reSTORE is one of several programs developed by the Enactus team with the goal of building a stronger and more sustainable future for the community. Enactus is a global nonprofit organization active in more than 40 countries and territories. Working in partnership with business and higher education, Enactus establishes student teams on university campuses that are challenged to be a catalyst for positive changes.
