Holly Hillberg is Keynote Speaker For Winter Commencement on Dec. 17

Rochester Athena Award Winner to Speak on the Topic:  ‘Three Signs for Life Success’

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Holly M. Hillberg, vice president of research & development for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, will deliver the keynote address to Roberts Wesleyan College’s winter 2011 graduating class during its commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 17.

Nearly 200 students receiving bachelor’s and master’s degrees – as well as family members, friends, professors and others – will be on hand to hear Hillberg speak on the topic:  “Three Signs for Life Success.”

Hillberg, a 1983 chemical engineering graduate of Michigan Technological University who earned her master’s degree in 1992 from the Rochester Institute of Technology’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering, worked for more than 20 years at Eastman Kodak Co.  There, she served as director of corporate engineering and vice president of research & development, and later as chief technology officer for Carestream Health Inc., the company created when Kodak sold its Health Group.

A 2009 Rochester Athena Award recipient for leadership and achievement, Hillberg sits on the board of directors of MedTech, the upstate New York consortium of medical and technology companies.  She is an avid supporter of Flower City Work Camp, the annual program that enlists teens to offer home renovation and hope in Rochester’s poorer neighborhoods, and participates on a regular basis in youth missions trips.

“We’re extremely pleased to have Holly Hillberg as our commencement speaker,” Roberts President John A. Martin said.  “She’s a remarkably talented executive with a heart for others, who has achieved career success, has triumphed through personal challenges, and is an exemplary mentor to others.  All of us at Roberts look forward to her address to our graduating students.”

Commencement begins at 10 a.m. in the College’s Voller Athletic Center.  Tickets are required and must be ordered by Thursday, Dec. 8.  They are available by calling (585) 594-6350, and also online at: http://www.roberts.edu/commencement.
