Enactus C.A.S.H. Program Helps Families this Tax Season

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Roberts Wesleyan College’s Enactus team will offer tax preparation services to working families with less than $50,000 in household income in 2012, and individuals or couples without children who earned less than $35,000 in 2012. All services are free and made possible through a partnership with Creating Assets, Savings & Hope (C.A.S.H.), a community coalition led by the Empire Justice Center and the United Way of Greater Rochester. Established in 2002, C.A.S.H. helps working families make the most of their money and build stronger financial futures.

To utilize the Enactus team’s tax preparation services, qualified individuals must bring photo identification, W-2 forms for all 2012 employment, 1099 forms, a copy of last year’s tax return, if available, and any other relevant tax information to the Roberts partner site located in the Hastings Center for Academics, 2301 Westside Drive (lower level) in North Chili. The site will be open on April 6 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to filing tax documents, the students will help clients process their Earned Income Tax Credit claims and access a free credit report. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 585-594-6091. Walk-ins are welcome.
