Film/Documentary "Maafa21" (Black History Month)
6:45 PM - 9:15 PM
The Student Multicultural Advisory Council (SMACk), along with the Students 4 Life organization, is hosting the film/documentary “Maafa21” on Friday, February 8 at 6:45pm in Hale Auditorium in honor of Black History Month. The film is being shown in conjunction with the Frederick Douglass Foundation.
First released in 2009, the controversial film explores the history of African-Americans and the black genocide in 21st Century America. The film was created by pro-life activist Mark Crutcher, who argues the modern-day prevalence of abortion among African-Americans is an attempted genocide or “maafa” of the race as a whole.
Following the documentary, there will be an open forum discussion, including a Q&A session with expert panelists.
This event is free and open to the public.
More info on the film can be found at www.maafa21.com.
