As a soloist, collaborator, and educator, Megan Glikes enjoys working with other musicians and students of various ages in a number of capacities including performing, rehearsing, and teaching private lessons. She regularly collaborates with choirs, instrumental and vocal soloists, and chamber ensembles, and continues to be involved and interested in church music.  Megan accompanies the Roberts Wesleyan College Chorale and student voice majors at Roberts Wesleyan.  She is currently the pianist and accompanist at Perinton Presbyterian Church in Fairport, N.Y.    

In 2012, Megan earned a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  As a graduate assistant at UNCG, she taught class piano, accompanied student singers and instrumentalists, and served as a rehearsal pianist in the opera program directed by David Holley.  Megan graduated summa cum laude from Gordon College in Wenham, Mass., where she received her Bachelor’s degree in music in addition to several accolades including the school’s Presser Scholar Award during her senior year.  As a student, she accompanied the Gordon College Choir and collaborated in recitals with many of her peers.

A native of Troy, N.Y., Megan has performed solo recitals in venues in New York, New England, and North Carolina.  She has performed in masterclasses with pianist Ann Schein, pianist Ian Hobson, composer Yehudi Wyner, and soprano Susan Roberts.  Megan’s primary teachers have included Andrew Willis, Mia Chung, Alina Polyakov, and Barb Musial.
