Information Systems Management

The Information Systems Management major has recently been replaced by a major in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science.  This interdisciplinary program blends computer technology skills and theory with courses in business and management.

Specifics of the Business Administration Degree with CS Minor:

Program Requirements:  76 hours total

Business Administration – B.S. (56 hours)

  • Accounting: ACC 201 with lab and ACC 202 with lab;
  • Business: BUA 101, BUA 210, BUA 321, and BUA 380;
  • Economics: ECN 202 and ECN 205;
  • Management: MGT 201, MGT 220, MGT 420, and SOC 341;
  • Marketing:  MKT 201;
  • Statistics: MTH 200;
  • Electives: 6 credits (two courses) in ACC, BUA, ECN, MGT, or MKT

MGT 390 is highly recommended as one of the two elective courses

  • Internship Preparation and Experience: BUA 325 and BUA 450

 Minor in Computer Science (20 hours)

  • Computer science core: CSC 140, 145, 245, and 250;
  • Electives: 7 credits, at least 3 at the 300- or 400-level CSC courses

  • Upper-level CS: CSC 306, CSC 310, or CSC345
