The courses are designed to teach the core elements you will carry with you your whole life, not specifics that are out of date in two years. You get an education that will last a lifetime, not just until the next product cycle.

The goal of the Computer Science program is to prepare students for employment in a wide variety of careers in the computer and information technologies.
The program seeks to reinforce a solid core of programming courses with theoretical courses in both computer hardware and software.
In addition, courses teach a foundation of practical skills using tools that the students are likely to use when entering the work force.
