TIP: If you're planning to attend college, don't wait for your acceptance letter to apply for aid - apply early in the year because some grants and scholarships may run out.
Healthcare Information Technology (HIT)
Unfortunately, students accepted into the Post Graduate Certificate in Health Information Technology are not eligible for Federal Direct and Grad PLUS loans.
10% Legacy Scolarship: Roberts Wesleyan College alumnus are eligible for a 10% Legacy Scholarship upon acceptance into the Post Graduate Certificate in Health Information Technology program.
Employer Tuition Assistance: Please ask your employer about tuition assistance to offset any out-of-pocket expenses for this program.
What is Financial Aid?
- Financial Aid is made-up of Federal loans and grants and/or State grants.
Does everyone qualify for Financial Aid?
Yes, providing you have never defaulted on a government loan and you have not used up your eligibility for each form of aid available.
Graduate students are only eligible for unsubsidized student loans. To be packaged for graduate loans complete the FASFA form online.
How do I apply for Financial Aid?
- First, apply for Federal Loans and Grants online using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- FAFSA is based on income which determines Expected Family Contribution (EFC) or out of pocket expenses.
Then, apply for New York State TAP online using Tap on the Web
*To secure Financial Aid while in college, all students should complete these two applications each year they are in college.
TIP: Filing your Federal Income Tax froms online will help expidite your FASFA application online. This will also help our Financial Aid Office if they have issues processing your aid.
