Bio

Dr. Trascritti is the wife of Dr. Francis Trascritti, a senior pastor at a church in Cincinnati, Ohio.  They have been married since 1984.  Dr. Trascritti received her EdD degree in Leadership from Southern Seminary, where she also received a Master of Arts degree in Christian Counseling (MACC).  She is also a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where she received a Master in Public Administration (MPA) degree and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.

Dr. Trascritti provides marital counseling and individual counseling at church, training lay counselors, conducting seminars and Bible studies, writing several book reviews, and maintaining a blog site.  She is an adjunct faculty member at several Christian colleges. She has worked in all types of organizational environments: non-profit, private, for-profit, public, and denominational.  She believes that these experiences, including starting her college education as a young mother with three small children, have prepared her to understand the unique challenges faced by non-traditional students.

In her spare time, Dr. Trascritti likes to collect antique books, do home improvement projects, and maintain her blog site, DrTFoodforThought.com.  In addition to being a wife, she is also the mother of four adult children, and grandmother to three girls: Jovie, born 12/17/09; Tali, born  6/21/12; and Selah, born 8/16/12.

Dr. Trascritti first heard the gospel during a premarital counseling session. This is her brief testimony: “It [the gospel] was something I had never heard before. When the pastor asked if I wanted to receive the gift of salvation, I enthusiastically said “yes.” I became a follower of Christ! It was the best thing that ever happened to me (a close second is marrying my husband). What’s so incredible is that Jesus died for me! I don’t deserve His sacrifice on the cross, which is why I am so grateful to my Savior. I want others to know the Jesus I know. I hope my words and my actions always reflect positively on Christ so that He is glorified.  This sums up who I am: Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and life-long student.”
