Redhawk Scholarship Fund
At Roberts, our Redhawk student-athletes have the opportunity to receive a quality education in a caring and supportive environment while excelling on the competition field. Since becoming a school in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level, our Athletic programs have grown significantly, both in interest and in competition. We would love to build on that by creating more opportunities to provide scholarships for incoming athletes.
Our plan is to do this through the Redhawk Scholarship Fund. This fund is supported by our generous alumni and friends of the College. 100% of the money raised for this fund will be given to our student athletes. We are excited about the prospect of helping future generations of athletes afford a Roberts education.
“Although I know things still aren’t always great back home, I stay focused because of everything my mom has done to help me get where I am. I still call her when I get an A on a paper, after we win a soccer game, or to share with her about my Monday night bible study. And we both remain extremely grateful for the opportunity my scholarships have given me to do better. Every day I am here at Roberts, I am reminded that all things work together for your good if you allow God to lead.”
-Teara Thomas, Women’s Soccer Class of 2019
“Since I wanted to play collegiate basketball, I started taking recruiting trips all over the country. It was on this trip that I first visited Roberts Wesleyan College. When I found out my best friend from Buffalo was set to attend Roberts, we grew excited about the potential of us both going to college together – a dream we’d had since middle school. I am incredibly grateful for the Roberts Wesleyan community for making scholarships available so that I could follow God’s plan. I am looking forward to the next four years and intend to use my gifts to make a positive impact on campus and in the world.”
-Quinn Carey, Men’s Basketball Class of 2019
“Unfortunately, my father had been laid off from work because of the economy and was forced to start his own construction business. As a result, we did not have a lot of income. All of a sudden my dream of studying biology in the pre-physical therapy program and running on a competitive Division II cross-country team did not seem possible. But when I received my financial aid package, I realized that I had been given enough scholarship money to make my dream a reality! It truly was a gift from God.”
-Josh Johnson, Men’s Cross-Country Class of 2018
